INSET Training in the Nature Detectives programme.

Introduction The Woodland Trust has recently launched an online project called Nature Detectives enabling children and young people to develop a lifelong love of nature and concern for our natural heritage through improvement of identification skills, fun learning activities and hands-on recording of seasonal events.

Session Outline Each session offered to teachers will provide:

The session will normally last no less than two hours, but could be a half or full day. Each session should train not less than 10 people. Sessions can be offered to either primary or secondary teachers but it is recommended that the two groups are not mixed. Youth group leaders may be included in the same group as teachers.
