Firefighters from the local brigade came to Esh Winning Primary to give a talk on fire safety while here they also agreed to fill up the pond in the wildlife area that had sprung a leak.

The team had an enjoyable and productive day at The Action Packed Futures Event at Whitworth Hall Hotel yesterday. Our new sustainability 'coconut shy' game was a big hit, so much so its been booked for two more events this summer!

Magical Markings laid down thermoplastic markings on both the creative play yard and active yard. The markings give visiting staff an idea of the variety of markings that can be used to compliment less permanent types. The photo below shows MM measuring and marking up the area with some of the Year 6 pupils.

Not linked to The EWE Centre but just for information, Sedgefield Borough Council is holding a series of real nappy events at Ceddesfield Hall, Sedgefield Village on 18th June, 17th September &14th January 2006, from 11am-2pm. Events include a creche, face painting and refreshments. More more information contact our old colleague Ruth Clayton at riclayton@sedgefield.gov.uk

Sherburn Stone kindly supplied the EWE Centre with some large stone boulders which will be used as seats in the creative play yard, below is a picture of them being delivered on a wet June day.
